The Interpreter's Tapestry

City Council Tips
  • Get an agenda before the meeting (available online and from Mrs. Mitchell prior to the meeting.)
  • Use space to describe location of zoning, annexing, and plan amendment property (I generally set an INTERSECTION, then name the roads, then locate the property N,S,E,W of the intersection.)
  • Bring a city map if you are not completely familiar with Knoxville (and sometimes even when you think you are!) or a laptop to access Google Maps, KGIS KnoxNetWhere, and full agenda items using the open wireless connection.
